WhatsApp is working on a number of new features to improve users’ experience and privacy. The most recent feature in development is said to be one that will notify users of unread messages and unseen Status changes. The function is said to help users focus on managing their interactions more efficiently.

According to WABetaInfo, a website that analyzes WhatsApp advancements, the new reminder feature is now available for testing in the Android app’s beta edition. It is included in WhatsApp beta version 2.24.25.29 for Android and adds notifications for missed messages and status updates.

According to sources, the feature prioritises messages based on user involvement history, using an internal algorithm. It concentrates on regularly contacted persons, making updates from them more likely to trigger reminders. This priority, however, only applies to the present instance of the app because the interaction data is saved locally. The research states that if a user reinstalls the WhatsApp client, the algorithm will recalculate this data because it is not saved on servers or backups.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is adding a new sticker-sharing tool that will allow users to transfer whole sticker packs in one click. According to WABetaInfo, this update is available for both the Android and iOS platforms.

To share a sticker pack, users must first open the sticker picker within the chat, then locate the desired pack and select the “Send” option from the three-dot menu. The recipient can then download the complete sticker pack immediately, which makes it easier to add new stickers.Previously, users were required to share stickers individually, which was time consuming. The revised feature eliminates this step, allowing for faster and more easy sharing. The feature is included in WhatsApp version 24.24.83 for iOS and is being gradually rolled out to more users.

As for availability, the sticker-sharing feature has been widely rolled out and is accessible in the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS, with a similar update expected for Android users soon.
