Will Dr. Anahita Pandole Face Prison Or Jail Time In The Cyrus Mistry Vehicle Crash?

The Palghar police, who on November 5 filed an FIR against Dr. Anahita Pandole (55) for reckless and careless driving that resulted in the deaths of Jehangir Pandole, Director for Global Strategy at KPMG, and Cyrus Mistry, former head of Tata Sons, said all the sections against her are bailable and she will not be subject to custody or jail time until she is found guilty for the crime.

Pandole has been charged with violating the Indian Penal Code’s Sections 304A (death by negligence), 279 (rash driving), 336 (endangering lives), 337 (causing hurt), and 338 (grievous hurt), the Motor Vehicles Act’s Sections 112 (speed limits), 183 (driving at an excessive speed), and 184 (dangerous driving), as well as Sections 14 (overtaking), 5 (duties of drivers/riders),

Investigations showed that the accident occurred while the car was speeding dangerously close to another vehicle.

On September 4, in the Mauje Ghol village of Maharashtra’s Palghar district, a crash occurred at 2:34 pm on the Surya River Bridge over National Highway 48. The four passengers were traveling from Gujarat to Mumbai, including Darius Pandole, Dr. Anahita’s lucky survivor from the accident.
