A Wing Commander from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) posted a video on Instagram showcasing a violent confrontation. In the video, Wing Commander Aditya Bose alleged that he was physically attacked, while his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita, experienced verbal harassment.
As stated by Bose, the event took place on April 18, 2025, when the pair was traveling from the DRDO colony in CV Raman Nagar to the airport, at which point a motorcyclist reportedly halted their vehicle and started shouting insults in Kannada. Bose stated that the incident intensified when the biker spotted the DRDO sticker on their car, resulting in additional insulting comments aimed at him and his spouse.
As Bose exited the vehicle to confront the situation, it was reported that the biker struck him on the forehead with a key, causing bleeding. He also mentioned that additional people on the street intervened with the first assailant, as one person grabbed a stone and struck him on the head.
Soon after the event, the officer filmed a video while wounded, his face and neck stained with blood.
The officer additionally stated that he remained at the location, yelling and inquiring how people could behave towards a military member in such a manner. He voiced his annoyance, highlighting the irony of being targeted after having served in the nation’s defense.
He mentioned that it was solely due to his wife’s presence that he could escape. She took them to the closest police station to lodge a complaint. Nevertheless, he asserted that there was no adequate reply from the officials.
Expressing his disillusionment, the officer allegedly remarked that he was astounded by the situation on the ground in Karnataka and found it hard to accept what transpired.
