The story does have a dark side, though, as many owners do ditch their vehicles. Many luxury and sports automobiles are decaying on the country’s roadsides and in junkyards due to factors like costly repairs, legal issues, and thefts. Here, we present five of RIP Cars’ high-end vehicles, some of which are uncommon to see on Indian roads.

Jaguar S-Type

Before presenting the XJ as the brand’s most upscale sedan, the Jaguar S Type served as the company’s flagship vehicle in the late 1990s. According to the post published by RIP Car, a small number of Jaguar S Type cars were privately imported into India at the time because Jaguar was not yet legally present there. This abandoned S Type is a classy shade of black, but with layers of dust covering it and a missing windshield, it appears to be in terrible condition.

Lamborghini Murcielago

One’s day can be made, but many people’s hearts can be broken when they see a Lamborghini Murcielago in a chained condition, like this yellow Murcielago seen here. This specific Murcielago was involved in an accident, the specifics of which are unknown, and was later abandoned in extremely poor condition. The front of the supercar appears to be severely damaged, and the trademark scissor doors and engine opening have been left unlocked, increasing the likelihood of further deterioration.

Audi A4

The A4 was marketed as Audi’s most affordable sedan at the time of its launch, and as such, it helped the German automaker find more homes in the country. This was Audi’s first taste of success in India. While many owners continue to use their well-kept Audi A4s throughout India, this abandoned A4 is decaying on a roadside location in Mumbai. Due to its owner leaving it unattended for more than a year, this specific Audi A4 is rusting and collecting dust.

Audi A6

It is depressing to witness one Audi A6 deteriorate in silence and then wonder how three A6s could possibly be experiencing the same thing. Here, we found a photo of three white Audi A6s rusting at a junkyard. The front ends of two of these Audi A6s are missing, and the A6 in the center of the image appears to be covered in dust. A sad state of affairs for a car that is regarded as a status symbol is to see it abandoned.

Bentley Flying Spur

The Bentley Flying Spur is regarded as a representation of unbridled wealth and success, yet it appears that the owner of this Flying Spur was not particularly interested in keeping the vehicle for unclear reasons. This Bentley Flying Spur was abandoned because its air suspension was broken. It appears that the owner of this Flying Spur was unwilling to expend the additional time and money necessary to repair the air suspension in such pricey automobiles.
