MCCI EXIM Facilitation Cell kicks off in Kolkata.
Merchants’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted the first meeting of MCCI EXIM Facilitation Cell: An initiative for Mentoring and Handholding Exporters & Importers, on 28 nov’22 at MCCI premises.
This is the maiden initiative of MCCI for the development of the export and import ecosystem of West Bengal. The Facilitation Cell meet on a bi monthly basis.
The Experts who associated with the Facilitation Cell are Shri Niraj Gupta, Deputy General Manager, Eastern Region, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation India, Shri Ravi Rajhans, Traffic Manager, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, Shri Shuvo Roy Chowdhury, Consultant, Export Promotion Cell, WBIDC and Smt. Upasana Acharya, Assistant Director, Export Promotion Cell, WBIDC.
The central idea of MCCI EXIM Facilitation Cell is to assist members in addressing issues related to international trade.
The Facilitation Cell addressed issues and challenges related to, Export Incentive and Foreign Trade Policy, Credit accessibility for exporters, Standards and quality in global market, Freight charges, Container charges, EXIM Finance,Insurance, Duties, Tariff Inconsistency, Non- Tariff Barriers, etc.
The Facilitation Cell saw excellence participation and the Cell also facilitated sharing of activities and initiatives of EXIM Bank, ECGC, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port and WBIDC for the knowledge of exporters and importers.
MCCI EXIM Facilitation Cell was moderated by Shri Mahesh Chandra Keyal, Chairman, Council on Foreign Trade, MCCI.
