Shivpal Yadav Requests That Mainpuri Residents Refer To SP Leader Akhilesh As “Chhote Netaji”

Shivpal Singh Yadav, the founder of the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia), asked people to refer to the Samajwadi Party leader as “Chhote Netaji” in the same way that they referred to party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav as “Netaji” following their reunion before the Mainpuri Lok Sabha byelection on November 30.

Mulayam Singh Yadav was referred to as “Netaji” by residents of Mainpuri and Etawah, as well as by Samajwadi Party members.

As they entered the dais for the Mainpuri bypoll campaigning, Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav touched uncle Shivpal Yadav’s feet as a sign of unity.

Shivpal Yadav is running a campaign for Dimple Yadav, the wife of Akhilesh Yadav, in the Mainpuri seat, which became open after Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away.

He also criticized Raguraj Singh Shakya, a BJP candidate who was once considered to be close to him.

Shakya joined the BJP earlier this year after defecting from Shivpal Yadav’s group.

Shivpal Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, and Dimple Yadav organized a rally in the district’s Takha block later in the day. Akhilesh Yadav spoke to the crowd of supporters and remarked that “Netaji” used to accept and respect everyone.

He blamed the BJP government for slowing down development in the area and thanked Mulayam Singh Yadav for the change in Mainpuri.

The SP leader further said that the BJP cut funding for current development projects. Dimple Yadav addressed the crowd and urged everyone to support her in large numbers in order to secure the victory for the SP.
