Nitish Kumar Explains How Parties Can Defeat The BJP With A “Huge Majority”

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, announced to loud applause at a gathering of his party, the Janata Dal, that there won’t be a third front in 2024 and that what will be formed the next time will be the “primary front” (United). He claimed that if opposition parties band together, they may defeat the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with a “big majority.”

He stated that he will continue to work toward making it a reality and that these parties are now in charge. Mr. Kumar is working to put together an alliance of like-minded parties to take on the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections. He recently met with numerous opposition leaders. Although he has denied harboring ambitions to be prime minister, some claim he is also eyeing a national role for himself.

Despite being in a coalition at the time, the 71-year-old Bihar politician claimed that the BJP would work against the JD(U) in the 2020 assembly elections. He also attributed his party’s disappointing result in the most recent assembly elections to the collaboration.

The state’s longest-serving chief minister recalled his reluctance to seek reelection but agreed to do so after the BJP’s prodding.
