ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 Mission Achieves Key Milestone, Paving the Way for Lunar Exploration Triumph

In a remarkable stride towards lunar exploration, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has achieved a significant milestone in its Chandrayaan-3 mission. The successful detachment of the spacecraft’s propulsion module from the lander marks the conclusion of a series of intricate lunar-bound maneuvers. In the days to come, specifically on August 23, the lander Vikram will initiate its descent towards the moon’s surface, employing meticulously planned commands. To ensure an extra layer of safety, the Lander Vikram has been equipped with a ‘salvage mode’ that could potentially be employed during the lunar landing. Following the soft landing of the lander Vikram and the subsequent settling of lunar dust, the Pragyaan rover will be deployed onto the moon’s surface. This monumental moment will also witness the capturing of images as the lander Vikram photographs the Pragyaan rover, marking the creation of the first Indian moon selfies.

This pivotal juncture will usher in a meticulously planned 14-day period of scientific exploration on the moon’s surface.
