Swami Vivekananda Medal of CU presented to  internationally acclaimed Sanskrit scholar D.Prahladachar

Professor Santa Datta (De)Vice Chancellor, University of Calcutta presented prestigious Swami Vivekananda Gold Medal of Calcutta University to internationally acclaimed Sanskrit scholar Shri Vidyashrisha Teertha Prof D.Prahladachar ex Vice Chancellor National Sanskrit University , Tirupati on 15th July 2024 at an elegant function at prestigious Senate Hall of  University of Calcutta in Kolkata . 
 
The prestigious Swami Vivekananda Medal was presented to Professor D . Prahladachar  for his outstanding contributions to Sanskrit Studies,  Philosophical Knowledge , Tradition of Bharatvarsha, across the world. His expertise spans Navya-nyaya, Sahithya, and Dvaitha Vedanta. He has been conferred the prestigious title of “Mahamahopadhyaya ” by two national Sanskrit Universities in Delhi  , a testament to his scholarly excellence .
 
Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi , Vice Chancellor, Central Sanskrit  University  (C.S.U.), New Delhi  delivered PREMCHANDRA TARKAVAGISH ENDOWMENT LECTURE 2024 on “Logic of Realism”
Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi  emphasized need for recognition of Realism and its importance in every day life.Pt. Premchandra Tarkavagish  was a polymath , logician and Sanskrit scholar who fought for preservation of Sanskrit language with Lord Macaulay  when he made efforts to stop teaching and usage of Sanskrit as mentioned by Shri Biswanath Chattopadhyay , a 5th generation   descendant of  Pt. Premchandra Tarkavagish. 
 
Dr. Kamal Kishor Misra Associate Prof. of Dept. of Sanskrit coordinated the program under mentorship of Dr. Debashis Das Registrar of University of Calcutta.
