The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the results for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG 2024. This announcement comes after delays attributed to allegations of exam irregularities and paper leaks in various competitive exams, including NEET-UG, UGC-NET, and CSIR-UGC-NET. The results, initially set for release on June 30, were postponed, causing concern among the 13.4 lakh candidates who registered for the exam.
Candidates can now check their CUET-UG 2024 results online by visiting the official NTA website and using their login credentials. The process to access the results is straightforward:

The CUET-UG 2024, which employed a hybrid mode for the first time, faced its own set of challenges. The exam scheduled in Delhi was initially postponed the night before it was to take place due to “logistical reasons” but was later conducted. The NTA had earlier assured that this third edition of the CUET-UG would be completed within seven days, emphasizing that there would be no normalization of scores since the exams were conducted in a single shift.
The announcement of the CUET-UG 2024 results follows the release of the final answer keys earlier this week. This development comes amid a broader controversy surrounding irregularities in competitive examinations, with numerous allegations of paper leaks, fraud, and impersonation. Despite these issues, the NTA has managed to conduct the exams and release the results, providing relief to the candidates.
In a related development, the Supreme Court recently dismissed petitions from unsuccessful NEET-UG 2024 candidates who sought to cancel and re-test the exam. The court ruled that there was no “systemic breach” that could invalidate the test, thus providing some relief to the NTA and the NDA government, both of which have been under intense scrutiny.
The CUET-UG exam format this year included both pen-paper mode for 15 subjects and Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 48 subjects. This comprehensive approach aimed to cater to a wide range of candidates seeking undergraduate admissions in 261 universities, including central, state, deemed, and private institutions.
The first edition of the CUET-UG exam in 2022 was plagued by technical difficulties, necessitating score normalization during the results announcement. However, the NTA has worked to improve the process and ensure a smoother experience for candidates this year.
The successful release of the CUET-UG 2024 results marks a significant milestone for the NTA, demonstrating its ability to manage and conduct large-scale examinations despite facing numerous challenges. The agency’s efforts to address and rectify the issues from previous editions show a commitment to improving the examination process and maintaining the integrity of competitive exams in India.
As candidates check their results and prepare for the next steps in their academic journeys, the NTA’s announcement provides a sense of closure and relief. The focus now shifts to admissions and the future academic pursuits of the successful candidates, who can look forward to joining some of India’s top universities.
