Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has criticised actor and television personality Rakhi Sawant over remarks involving her, former Union minister Smriti Irani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The latest exchange has added another chapter to the public friction between the two personalities.
Kangana took to social media to respond to Sawant’s comments, accusing her of making derogatory statements and targeting women who have achieved success in public life. She questioned the nature of Sawant’s remarks and argued that personal attacks should not be used to undermine women who have built careers and established themselves in different fields
In her response, Kangana also brought Smriti Irani and Prime Minister Modi into the discussion, objecting to what she described as inappropriate comments directed at prominent public figures. She maintained that criticism should remain within reasonable limits rather than becoming an attempt to damage someone’s reputation.
The actor-turned-politician also referred to her previous disagreements with Sawant. Their public exchanges have previously attracted attention on social media, with both personalities responding to each other over controversial remarks and political issues.
Kangana has frequently been outspoken on matters involving women, politics and public discourse. Her latest comments again reflected her willingness to respond directly to criticism, particularly when she believes that public figures are being subjected to personal attacks. Neither side has indicated any immediate move to end the dispute, leaving the latest exchange as another instance of the long-running public friction between Kangana and Rakhi Sawant.
