The Real Face Of Iran’s “Zombie Angelina Jolie” Is Revealed

On the list of trends on October 26, Iran’s Sahar Tabar, widely known as “Zombie Angelina Jolie,” held a prominent position. Because of the video in which she revealed her true face after being released from prison in 2020, she is once again trending. In October 2019, Fatemeh Khishvand, also known as “Sahar Tabar” on Instagram, was found guilty of blasphemy and corruption and given a 10-year prison sentence. She originally caught the eye of the world’s media when, in 2017, she published unsettling images of herself that uncannily resembled “Zombie” Angelina Jolie. She used to post comments on many social issues on Instagram, which Iran’s morality police deemed immoral. She received a 14-month sentence and was freed in 2020. Later, Sahar made an appearance on Rokna’s television show for an interview, revealing her true face. It was completely different from her twisted and eerie “Zombie” Angelina Jolie look, for which, according to media rumors, she had undergone a number of cosmetic procedures.

Images and videos of Sahar Tabar during the interview showing her true, everyday face quickly went viral, and they have since reappeared on social media. She explained in the interview that the popular pictures were the result of computer effects.

According to Sahar Tabar, who said that she wanted to be famous since she was a child, she discovered that cyberspace was an easy route to accomplish her goal. According to The Sun, she said, “It was much easier than being an actor.”

But after spending some time in jail, she has a different perspective on social media celebrities. She no longer desires Instagram celebrity status. “I’m confident I won’t even have an Instagram page anymore, much less have it on my phone.”

The Sun reported that Sahar did not deliberately model her zombie role after Angelina Jolie. She merely altered her makeup in her images and added funny editing.

During the conversation, Sahar Tabar also expressed regret for posting disturbing images of herself. Her mother was pleading with her to stop, but she chose not to listen. In some cases, the advice of a friend or stranger might be more valuable than that of a parent.

Sahar Tabar developed COVID-19 while she was incarcerated and required ventilator support. Her attorney attempted to get her released, but the judge rejected the request.
