Acclaimed Journalist UTPAL CHATTERJEE conferred LEGEND OF BENGAL AWARD by the All India Human Rights Council .

Earlier, recognized as OUTSTANDING INDIAN by the National Integration Forum of India (NIFI)at the Indian Council of Cultural Relations ( ICCR).

THE “THIRD EYE”!
If anything, Shri Utpal Chatterjee has always been a keen observer. It is said that he did not speak a word till age four leading to his grandmother to infer that he was not deaf but dumb, maybe? Thereafter, no one needs convincing that Utpal Ji has more than made up for staying away from the spoken word at the very beginning.
Now, given the overwhelming response to his posts, blogs and, more importantly, Utpal Ji’s speeches for which there is such a growing demand both in India and abroad, many of his distinguished friends and well-wishers are of the unanimous opinion that he ought to be known as a sharp and an “outspoken observer”.
Utpal ji has all but given in to their advice. Indeed, as he moves from schools to colleges, to universities, to the TV studios, to the corporate sector, to large, very large audience.

On his being conferred the “LEGEND OF BENGAL”award Shri Utpal Chatterjee said,
”It was truly a humbling experience when I was conferred LEGEND OF BENGAL AWARD by the All India Human Rights Council at the National Library Auditorium on the World Human Rights, Day.
Earlier, I had been recognized as OUTSTANDING INDIAN by the National Integration Forum of India (NIFI)at the Indian Council of Cultural Relations ( ICCR).All that I have done is to remain true to my conscience, work hard to remain true to it and try and be good to everyone in every conceivable way. Yes, by reaching out to those even in far flung rural areas brings in the all pervasive feel good factor. God willing, I shall continue in the same vein till my dying day. May Almighty God Bless us all in all our endeavors.”
