Actor Amitabh Bachchan has made a second investment in Ayodhya since the inauguration of Ram Mandir in 2024. A report states that he purchased his second parcel of land there through his trust and that it is situated 10 kilometres from the temple.

The report indicates that the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust, established in 2013 to honor Amitabh’s father, acquired the land. It spans 54,454 square feet and is the second property he has purchased in that area. On January 16 of the previous year, the actor purchased a parcel of land in Haveli Avadh. The deal was valued at ₹4.54 crore at that time.

It was reported that Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav executed both land transactions on the actor’s behalf. They cited a source mentioning that the land in Haveli Avadh would be designated for residential use while the larger parcel acquired now would be utilized for charitable endeavors.

Following the 2022 movie Uunchai, Amitabh made only cameo roles in the 2023 films Ghoomer and Ganapath. In 2024, he featured in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. He portrayed Ashwatthama in the Telugu movie, and his acting was praised. He also featured in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan alongside Rajinikanth. He portrayed Sathyadev Bramhadutt Pande in the police drama that featured Fahadh Faasil as well.
