Indian Army, Fire Department Contain Major Blaze in Shillong

Troops of the 117 Territorial Army, under the aegis of Eastern Command, responded swiftly to a major fire at Kenches Trace in Shillong, assisting the Fire Department in bringing the blaze under control. Through coordinated efforts and the deployment of additional fire tenders, the fire was successfully contained, preventing it from spreading further. Continued firefighting operations ensured the flames were completely extinguished and eliminated the risk of reignition. The prompt coordination between the Indian Army and the civil administration helped minimise damage while safeguarding lives and property.
