A.R. Rahman’s Son A.R. Ameen Injured in Car Accident Near Chennai

Singer and musician A.R. Ameen, son of Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, sustained minor injuries after his car was involved in an accident near Chennai, according to a report. The incident reportedly took place near the Kathipara flyover in Guindy.

Ameen was travelling from Koyambedu towards the city when the Porsche he was travelling in collided with a Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R. Following the crash, Ameen and a friend accompanying him were taken to Kauvery Hospital for medical attention.

The singer suffered minor injuries in the accident and was subsequently discharged from the hospital. The occupant of the other vehicle was also taken for treatment and was later released, according to the report.

Following the incident, police took possession of both vehicles involved in the collision as part of their investigation. A case has also been registered to determine the circumstances that led to the accident and establish how the collision occurred.

A.R. Ameen is known for following in his father’s musical footsteps. He made his playback singing debut with the 2015 Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani, which was directed by Mani Ratnam and featured music by A.R. Rahman. Since then, he has lent his voice to various musical projects and continued to build a career in the Indian music industry.
