
Sixteen-year-old Thai singer and guitarist Nene Royal, whose real name is Rattikarn Amloy, has made history by winning Season 21 of America’s Got Talent. The Phuket-born rocker secured the US$1 million prize, becoming the first Thai contestant to win the popular talent show. Royal impressed audiences throughout the competition with powerful rock performances, including The Cranberries’ Zombie and Soundgarden’s Black Hole Sun, which earned her a Live Golden Buzzer from Mel B. In the finale, she performed The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army. She also shared the stage with Linkin Park during the results show.
