News Mania Desk/ 3rd October 2026

Sensitive medical information belonging to FBI personnel is reportedly among data allegedly stolen in a cyberattack targeting an FBI recruitment-related system. The data is said to include blood and urine test results, raising concerns about the exposure of highly personal information belonging to federal law-enforcement employees.

The cybercriminal group ShinyHunters has claimed responsibility for the breach and said it obtained large amounts of information relating to FBI employees and job applicants. The group alleged that several systems, including human resources and medical-related services, were compromised. However, the FBI has not confirmed the full extent of the alleged breach. The agency said it is investigating claims of unauthorized activity involving FBIJobs.gov and determining whether the breach originated with a third-party provider or the FBI’s own enterprise systems. The incident highlights the risks associated with storing sensitive employee and applicant information across interconnected digital systems.
