The rape-murder case involving the doctor from RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata is getting more and more intricate. Even though Sanjay Roy is the sole offender who has been taken into custody thus far in this case, the death of the trainee doctor is becoming even more puzzling since recordings of the victim’s parents contradict allegations made against the Kolkata Police.
When the deceased doctor’s family members showed up at RG Kar hospital on Wednesday night to join the physicians in protest, they accused the Kolkata Police of trying to stifle the case by quickly cremating the body.

Additionally, he claimed that when his daughter’s body was sent home following an autopsy but before being cremated, a senior police officer approached him and made a financial offer.

The TMC denied that the lady doctor’s parents had accused the police of covering up, arguing that a recently discovered video showed the family was previously satisfied with the probe and disproved their allegations.

However, the family was fast to respond, saying that shortly after the cremation, the police had forced them to record the video.

“A video went viral yesterday where it is claimed that a police official offered money to the parents in the aftermath of the incident. Another video has appeared in the public domain, where the parents clearly stated that such claims are lies and they only want justice for their daughter,”  said Sashi Panja in light of the allegations .

Panja charged that the BJP was exploiting the tragedy for political advantage rather than pursuing justice.

In addition, Panja denounced the social media proliferation of these “fake” videos and said that the BJP’s IT cell was behind their dissemination.
Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP’s IT cell, also uploaded a video of the victim’s parents speaking on the news channel.
West Bengal’s junior physicians have gone on strike in response to the doctor’s August 9 death, which has sparked protests across the country.
Panja expressed optimism that the doctors would return to work once the crisis is resolved, but she acknowledged and backed the doctors’ discontent.

The family has “exposed” the state government’s scheme to bury the case, the West Bengal BJP retorted.
Everything has been done by the TMC government to hide this. The TMC and the police have been exposed by the family’s comments, according to BJP MP Samik Bhattacharya.
