Five Facts About The East Delhi Murder, “Blood Drained At Night, Body Cut Next Day”

The murder in Pandav Nagar in east Delhi has been described in graphic detail by Delhi Police. Anjan Das was allegedly killed in June by his wife and stepson in a manner that is uncannily similar to how Shraddha Walkar was killed.
Here are 5 startling details regarding this horrific tragedy.
- According to the police, the accused Poonam was enraged because Das had sold her jewelry and sent the proceeds to his first wife. Her son from a previous marriage, Deepak, and she came up with the murderous scheme. Police have been informed by Deepak that he consented because Das allegedly harassed his wife.
- Police have been informed by the suspects that they killed Das in June. Police claim that they initially drugged his drink before killing him with a dagger when he was unconscious. They allowed the body to lose blood all night.
- According to what the suspects have informed police, the body was divided into 10 parts the previous morning and placed in polythene bags before being kept in the refrigerator.
- They scattered the pieces across the following few days. Six items have so far been located by police. Poonam and Deepak were photographed by CCTV cameras in the neighborhood during these visits.
- The suspects have admitted to authorities that they cleaned their home and refrigerator later to get rid of any odor. According to the police, they also informed the neighbors that Das had suddenly left the house without telling anyone.
