Hong Kong – Christie’s is proud to present the highly-anticipated Magnificent Jewels live autumn auction on 27 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The auction will showcase over 110 lots, including an exquisite and carefully curated array of coloured and colourless diamonds and gemstones, exceptional jadeite, and stunning creations from renowned jewellery houses.

Taking centre stage at the sale is The Pink Supreme, a phenomenal 15.48 Carat Fancy Intense Pink Internally Flawless Type Ila Diamond Ring (estimate: HK$70,000,000 – 100,000,000 / US$9,000,000 – 12,000,000). A true rarity, The Pink Supreme’s sensational ‘Fancy Intense’ pink hue is a distinction only a fraction of pink diamonds achieve from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and its Type IIa classification represents less than a mere 2% of all gem diamonds. Impressive in size, graded Internally Flawless and cut with expert craftsmanship, this is a pink diamond of unparalleled beauty and a true optical masterpiece.

COLOURED AND COLOURLESS DIAMONDS

Coloured diamonds are coveted wonders at auction, often setting records for their extreme rarity. This season, Christie’s will present a spectacular selection of exquisite coloured diamonds in an array of intensities, including pink, blue, and yellow hues, alongside a selection of outstanding and timeless colourless diamonds.

Leading this section is a 3.51 Carat Fancy Vivid Blue Internally Flawless Diamond Ring (estimate: HK$45,000,000 – 65,000,000 / US$5,800,000 – 8,000,000). Its vivid blue hue, a rare spectacle, exudes prestige and captures the essence of royalty, wisdom and serenity. The bewitching colour of this diamond places it in an esteemed echelon of its own.
A further standout piece is an 88.08 Carat Fancy Intense Yellow / Internally Flawless Diamond and Diamond Bracelet, (estimate: HK$12,000,000 – 18,000,000 / US$1,500,000 – 2,300,000). This awe-inspiring gem, complemented with all D colour internally flawless colourless diamonds, with its fancy intense yellow colour symbolizing joy, happiness, and wisdom, is part of the exceedingly rare group of intense yellow diamonds.  
Behold the mesmerizing beauty of this 40.05 Carat D colour Internally Flawless Golconda Diamond and pink diamond Necklace (estimate: HK$28,500,000 – 38,000,000 / US$3,600,000 – 4,800,000). “Golconda” signifies the world’s finest diamonds, radiant gems with superb luminosity, transparency, and innate purity. Originating from the ancient diamond fields of Eastern India, the first diamond mine ever to be discovered in the world, this diamond possesses a unique brightness and a rare degree of transparency that transcends standard colour grade or clarity. Admired by royal houses and esteemed among gem connoisseurs, Golconda diamonds stand unrivalled in quality and allure. Standing out in its grandeur is its size – an astounding 40.05 carats, making it the largest Golconda Diamond to appear at auction in a decade. The exhausted Golconda mine further amplifies the exclusivity of this gem.
‘Clustering’ is a trademark of Harry Winston, representing the finest quality of setting. This technique revolutionised jewellery design by setting pear-shaped and marquise-cut diamonds with minimal metal and at varying angles, resulting in remarkably brilliant pieces.On offer this season is a pair of 11.09 and 10.17 Carat D Colour Flawless Type Ila Diamond Earrings By Harry Winston (estimate: HK$12,000,000 – 18,000,000 / US$1,500,000 – 2,300,000). Meticulously designed, this dazzling pair of earrings exudes an unparalleled exquisite radiance, showcasing the timeless beauty and exceptional quality that perfectly defines the maison’s name.

COLOURED GEMSTONES

This season, Christie’s specialists handpicked some of the world’s finest and rarest gemstones from the most respected origins, spotlighting no-oil Colombian emeralds, known for their untouched vibrancy; Burmese ‘Pigeon’s Blood’ Rubies, reputed for their passionate hue; and a stunning Burmese Sapphire from Cartier, exemplifying high-quality sapphires and adding a touch of regal elegance to the entire collection. Each gemstone is a testament to Christie’s commitment to excellence and rarity, reflecting unique tales of geological creation and human discovery.

JADEITES

The desirability of top-quality jadeites are undeniably linked to their scarcity in the market. Building upon Christie’s rich heritage and established success in presenting exceptional jadeites in Asia, on offer this season are stunning pieces including a Jadeite Cabochon, Diamond and Ruby Pendent Necklace (estimate: HK$8,800,000 – 15,000,000 / US$1,100,000 – 1,500,000, shown left).

Another collectible is a Jadeite and Diamond Pendent Necklace (estimate: HK$3,500,000 – 5,500,000 / US$440,000 – 700,000, shown right).Bathed in a lustrous green saturation, the pendant exhibits an intricately engraved crane, lotus leaves, deer and bat. These revered symbols in Chinese culture signify longevity, prosperity, and sovereignty, enriching the necklace’s charm.
