Now residents can verify email, mobile numbers seeded with Aadhaar

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has allowed residents to verify the mobile number and email linked with their Aadhaar. In some instances, residents were not aware/sure about that which of their mobile numbers was seeded to their Aadhaar. Hence residents were worried that Aadhaar OTP might be going to some other mobile number. Now, with this facility, the residents can check these quite easily. With the new facility, citizens can easily check the number. This facility of UIDAI can be availed on the official website (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/) or through the mAadhaar app using the ‘Verify Email/Mobile Number’ feature. This feature gives confirmation to residents that their email/mobile number under his/her knowledge is only seeded to their respective Aadhaar. It also notifies the resident in case a particular mobile number is not linked, and informs the resident to take necessary steps to update the mobile number, if they wish so.
If the number is already verified then its details will appear on the screen.
If a person has forgotten which number was given at the time of enrolment, he/she can check the last three digits of the mobile number on the Myaadhaar portal or the Aadhaar verification feature of the mAadhaar app.
If a person wants to link an email/mobile number with Aadhaar or wants to update his email/mobile number, he can visit the nearest Aadhaar center.
