ICCR Kolkata hosted India International Tribal Festival 2024 in Kolkata

ICCR hosted two- days India International Tribal Festival 2024 on 19th & 20th November 2024 at its premises in Kolkata.
On 19th November ,a 13-Member Cultural delegation of “Ifju Szivek Dance Theatre Group” from Slovakia performed .
Ifjú Szivek Dance Theatre is playing important role in the Hungarian traditional dance revival movement and in the
Hungarian dance and cultural life of Slovakia. Through its theatrical dance performances the troupe from Slovakia displayed the traditional dance and music and culture of Central Europe.
On 20th November , 12-Member “Nuae Folk Art Delegation” from National University of Art Education, Vietnam performed
Vietnamese Folk Dance, in particular and Vietnamese ethnic dance.
.Vietnamese dance has a rich heritage that includes religious dance, court dance, folk dance, and dance in traditional theatre.
Shri Ramesh Chand Program Director of ICCR East Zonal office coordinated the both days program . Team ICCR Kolkata made superb arrangements for visiting artists as well as audience.

Audience include Shri Arup Raha former Chief of Indian Air Force , top bureaucrats , members of diplomatic community based in Kolkata, celebrities, intellectuals, business barons and art lovers.

Audience gave standing ovation to visiting artists on both days. Performance by troupe from Vietnam reflected historical cultural connection between people of Vietnam and people of Bharat.
ICCR is also organising 8th edition of India International Folk Festival which scheduled on 26th & 27th November 2024 at Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi . It is expected to be inaugurated by Shri Pabitra Margherita , Union Minister of State for External Affairs on Tuesday, 26 November 2024 at 6.30 pm at Kamani Auditorium, Copernicus Marg
New Delhi. Artists & musicians from Sri Lanka, Slovakia, Iraq are expected perform in New Delhi .
These cultural exchange & cultural performance will play important role in building bridges of goodwill between people of these countries and people of Bharat.
