Kuwait Downs Drones for Third Consecutive Day as Iran Retaliatory Strikes Intensify

Kuwait’s air defence forces intercepted hostile drones for a third straight day on Monday, as tensions across the Gulf deepened following Iran’s retaliatory strikes against U.S. and Israeli interests in the region. The repeated aerial incursions underscore the growing risk of a broader regional confrontation.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence said its air defences detected and destroyed incoming unmanned aerial vehicles that entered the country’s airspace. While officials did not specify how many drones were intercepted, they confirmed that operations have been ongoing for several days amid heightened alert levels. Authorities described the situation as part of a wider escalation linked to Iran’s response to recent military actions targeting its territory.
