𝘒𝘰𝘭𝘬𝘢𝘵𝘢, 29 𝘔𝘢𝘺 2026 : BCC&I is honoured to have Hon’ble Minster Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge of Municipal Affairs and Women & Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal, amidst us at the heritage building of BCC&I.

The meeting marked a significant milestone as BCC&I, the first Chamber of Commerce in West Bengal to host a Cabinet Minister from the newly formed Government of West Bengal for an industry interaction. The engagement reflected the Government’s commitment to fostering a constructive partnership with industry and maintaining an open dialogue on the state’s economic and development priorities.

Addressing a distinguished gathering of business leaders, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge interacted with representatives from several leading corporations and institutions, including ITC Ltd., PwC, CESC, Berger Paints, Haldia Petrochemicals Limited (HPL), Century Plyboards, Star Cement, Infinity Group, Balmer Lawrie, Vesuvius India, Merlin Group, Bandhan Bank, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), MSME and start up representatives.

The interaction provided a valuable platform for industry leaders to engage directly with the Minister on issues relating to land for industry, EoDB for investment, infrastructure, urban development, industrial growth and the future economic trajectory of West Bengal.

The Hon’ble Minister was handed over a nine-volume recommendation paper by BCC&I on Incentive Framework, Turning Haldia into an Chemical Hub, Rejuvenation of Kolkata, IT and GCC, Clean Energy, Inland Waterways, Blue Economy, Market Linkage for FPOs and SHGs. She was also handed over, “Bengal Soulfully Yours” document, “Bengal Soulfully Yours” is a joint initiative of BCC&I and ITC Ltd. for branding Kolkata to the global audience.
