We Must Face Racism, Says Rishi Sunak As New Scandal Affects The Royals

On December 1, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak spoke about his own encounters with prejudice and intolerance while stating that racism must be fought whenever we see it.
His remarks come the day after a senior staff member resigned over repeatedly questioning a black British charity activist where she was truly from, sparking a new racism controversy inside the royal household.
The first black prime minister of the UK, Sunak, stated that he had faced racism in his life but added that it wouldn’t be right for him to comment on the facts of the controversy.
“But I’m happy to report that some of the experiences I had as a child and young adult, I don’t believe would occur today,” he told Sky News.
The UK has made “great progress in fighting racism,” according to the 42-year-old Conservative leader, but he also noted that “the task is never done.”
“We must thus tackle it wherever we see it. And it’s appropriate that we keep picking up the lessons and moving forward to a better future “added Sunak.
According to UK media, Susan Hussey, 83, a godmother to Prince William, was the Buckingham Palace courtesan who insulted a black British woman at a reception on November 29.
After the painful discussion was published on Twitter by Ngozi Fulani, who spoke with Hussey, King Charles III moved swiftly to oust her from her position as an assistant to Queen Consort Camilla.
