CJP Threatens Nationwide Agitation, Gives Centre Seven-Day Deadline
News Mania Desk/ Piyal Chatterjee/ 8th June 2026

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans to escalate its campaign against the Centre, warning of a nationwide protest movement if its demands are not addressed within the next seven days. The announcement was made by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke following the group’s recent demonstration at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
Addressing supporters, Dipke said the movement was far from over and that the Delhi protest marked only the beginning of a broader campaign. He maintained that the organisation would continue pressing for accountability over issues affecting students, particularly controversies linked to examinations and concerns regarding the country’s education system.
The CJP has called for the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging that the government has failed to adequately address grievances raised by students. Party leaders said they would closely monitor the Centre’s response before deciding on the next course of action.
The protest in the national capital drew participants from various parts of the country, including students, young professionals and activists. Demonstrators carried banners and placards while demanding greater transparency, accountability and reforms in the education sector. Organisers stated that future protests would remain peaceful and democratic despite plans to expand the movement’s reach.
Dipke stressed that the campaign extends beyond a single issue and seeks to highlight broader challenges faced by India’s youth, including employment concerns and governance-related matters. He said the organisation intends to mobilise supporters across states and build a sustained movement around issues affecting young citizens.
The Cockroach Janta Party first gained popularity through social media, where its satirical content resonated with large sections of the youth. Over time, it evolved into a platform that actively engages with public issues and organises on-ground events.
With the seven-day deadline now in place, attention has shifted to the government’s response and whether the movement’s call for wider protests will attract further support across the country.
