Organizers Of A Beauty Pageant Apologize When A Contestant Appears On Stage Wearing A Contentious Yellow Outfit
A former contestant of a beauty pageant showed out on stage wearing a yellow garment that looked see-through when illuminated, forcing the event’s organizers to apologize.
Model Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh, 24, was spotted donning a yellow gown with embellishments and translucent material that revealed her body beneath.
When she took the stage to award candidate Trinh Thuy Linh as the first runner-up, all eyes were on her.
Pham’s legs and hips looked to be seen beneath the bright lights in pictures and video from the event that have since been shared online.Since many believed the dress was unsuitable for a televised event, the images instantly caused controversy.Despite the fact that many people defended Pham’s costume, the event’s organizers have since issued an apology.
Pham, who finished second in the competition in 2020, said she was ashamed of the costume and has learned her lesson.
The candidates’ stage attire, according to the organizers, is always given significant thought before the competition. But for this particular rehearsal, not all of the lights were on.
The public should put the tragedy behind them, said Pham Kim Dung, the vice president of the
organizing committee.
