An excellent brainteaser is enjoyable to everyone. In addition to encouraging original thought, these captivating mental exercises can keep us busy for hours or even days. For puzzle fans, a particularly challenging one has surfaced on social media lately and garnered a lot of attention. The teaser, which was posted by the Brainy Bits Hub account on X (previously Twitter), has generated interest and discussion among users.

The brain teaser poses a deceptively simple yet challenging question: “A farmer had 15 sheep, and all but 8 died. How many are left?” This riddle has already amassed over three thousand views and more than 100 comments, igniting a discussion among users trying to crack the answer.

The diverse range of answers demonstrates the various approaches people take to problem-solving. One person openly acknowledged that they struggled with the question, saying, “This is not my cup of tea.” A third person added, “My guess says the answer is 8,” while another boldly predicted, “I think the answer is 7.” Another reply said, “Ummm, I am confused but I think 8 is the correct answer,” suggesting that this specific response struck a chord with a number of readers.

Not everyone, though, thought the puzzle was simple. “Too difficult for me,” a user commented, emphasizing the difficulty it presented. In a hilarious turn of events, someone else proposed, “It would be better to ask the farmer.” It’s evident that this brainteaser has generated some amicable banter among users in addition to interest.

Such captivating puzzles have been shared on social media before. Earlier, Instagram user @br4inteaseBZrhur asked followers to identify all occurrences of the number “3” in a challenge incorporating a dialer interface. As people competed to discover the secret numbers first, that puzzle also attracted a lot of attention.
