Bollywood star Rani Mukerji earned her first National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway at the 71st National Film Awards, presented at Vigyan Bhawan by President Droupadi Murmu. The accolade marks a significant milestone in the actress’s career, recognizing her portrayal of a mother fighting to regain custody of her children after Norwegian authorities remove them.
Mukerji, married to filmmaker Aditya Chopra and mother to Adira, kept a personal touch close to her heart during the ceremony. She wore a gold necklace inscribed with her daughter’s initials, symbolizing her maternal bond while receiving the prestigious honor.
