7 Cops, 6 Terrorists Dead In Suicide Attack At Pak Police Training Centre

A suicide bombing at a police training center school in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan set to a five-hour gunfight that resulted in the deaths of three more terrorists, according to police. Officials said on Saturday that six additional police officers had been killed in the gunfight.
Following the attack on the Ratta Kulachi Police Training School in the Dera Ismail Khan district, police officers had previously neutralized three terrorists with retaliatory fire, while some others were reportedly hiding inside the facility.
Six more police officers were slain and three more terrorists were killed during a clearance operation late Friday night. Thirteen police officers were injured and seven security staff were killed in the incident, according to earlier reports of one police officer’s death.
All staff members and trainee recruits were safely relocated to secure areas, officials reported.
Police officers, Al-Burq Force, Elite Force, and SSG commandos participated in the operation.
Late Friday night, terrorists crashed a truck loaded with explosives into the police training school’s main entrance, causing a huge explosion. Terrorists in a variety of uniforms barged into the facility and began firing randomly as soon as the explosion occurred. Police officers encircled the assailants in retaliation.
The insurgents kept hurling hand grenades during the gunfight. On-site, the operation was personally overseen by RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar and DPO Dera Ismail Khan Sahibzada Sajjad Ahmed.
Six terrorists were killed after a fierce five-hour battle. From their possession, security personnel retrieved ammo, contemporary weapons, explosives, and suicide vests. Thirteen police officers who were hurt were taken to local hospitals right away to receive care. About 200 staff members, teachers, and trainees were in the training school when the attack occurred, according to the DPO, and they were securely relocated to secure areas.
According to Zulfiqar Hameed, Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the area has been cleared fully, and a search and cleanup effort is in progress to get rid of any last dangers.
In addition to honoring the victims and awarding incentives for the officers and staff who participated in the mission, the IGP commended the RPO and DPO leadership for the successful operation.
