At CinemaCon 2026, Vidyut Jammwal had a moving experience with the Street Fighter actors while revealing the movie’s trailer. Vidyut makes his Hollywood debut in the action-packed film Street Fighter, where he plays the renowned yoga guru Dhalsim. Vidyut performed the Gayatri Mantra after the sun and moon mantras during the occasion. He was joined in offering the prayer by his co-stars who were present at the ceremony, including Noah Centineo.

In a video that he posted from the occasion, Vidyut offered to recite the prayers in order to safeguard the project and all of the effort that went into making this movie. Vidyut closed his eyes and began reciting the mantras when the other cast members agreed.

The actor shared the video along with the note: “There are certain personal milestones that fill me with a profound sense of purpose—moments that ground me and remind me who I am. One such moment was when I had the honor of offering a prayer at CinemaCon in Las Vegas—one of the most noisiest and vibrant places in the world. My Indian chants brought a stillness—a wave of peace and quiet. I felt a deep, unspoken bond with everyone in the room—beyond words, beyond language, we were all connected as one. It was a tremendous privilege to be the one to share this vision of global harmony. #vedic #sun mantra, # moon mantra, #Gayatri mantra—together, they carried a silent prayer for peace beyond all borders.”

With Hadoukens and roundhouses, Street Fighter, directed by Kitao Sakurai, will bring the fight from the arcade to the big screen. Noah Centineo plays Ken Masters, Andrew Koji plays Ryu, Callina Liang plays Chun-Li, Joe Roman Reigns Anoai plays Akuma, David Dastmalchian plays M. Bison, Cody Rhodes plays Guile, Andrew Schulz plays Dan Hibiki, Eric André plays Don Sauvage, Orville Peck plays Vega, Olivier Richters plays Zangief, Hirooki Goto plays E. Honda, Rayna Vallandingham plays Juli, and Alexander Volkanovski plays Blanka.

The video game series was officially launched in 1987 and revolved around intense one-on-one battles between groups of martial artists, orchestrated by M. Bison as a global fighting tournament. More than 55 million units have been sold worldwide since the launch.
