Salman Khan Recalls Jail Days, Says 60-70 Inmates Shared One Bathroom

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has opened up about his experiences in jail, recalling the difficult and overcrowded conditions he encountered during his periods in custody. Speaking on the reality show Alliance, Khan described the lack of privacy and basic facilities inside the prison.

The actor said that a large number of inmates were accommodated in a confined space, with around 60 to 70 people having to share a single bathroom. Recalling his time behind bars, Khan said the conditions were challenging and offered little comfort or personal space.

Khan also spoke about the poor sanitation inside the facility and recalled encountering lizards. His comments offered viewers a glimpse into the circumstances he experienced during his time in custody and the stark contrast between his life as a Bollywood star and the conditions inside a prison.

The actor’s remarks relate to his legal troubles arising from the 1998 blackbuck hunting case. The case has remained one of the most prominent legal controversies of Khan’s career and has resulted in periods of imprisonment as well as prolonged court proceedings. Khan was convicted in the case in 2006 and subsequently spent time in custody. He was later granted bail. In 2018, a Jodhpur court again convicted him in connection with the blackbuck case and sentenced him to five years in prison. Khan spent several days in custody before being granted bail.

The actor’s comments quickly attracted attention because public discussion about his legal troubles has continued for years. Khan has remained one of India’s most prominent film personalities throughout the period, continuing his acting career and maintaining a large following.
