The Lions Club of Calcutta Megacity, in collaboration with nine other Lions Clubs of District 322B2, organized a special Teachers’ Day celebration at Lions Children Park on 5 September 2026.

Tech Helm Solutions and Avalon Academy Dumdum served as event partners, conducting Public Speaking and Essay Writing Competitions for young participants. Six prizes were awarded to the winners, and Avalon Academy Dumdum sponsored an additional bonus prize of a free course in Professional Communication and Personality Development for two students.

The programme also honored 19 distinguished professors and teachers from institutions including the University of Calcutta and Presidency University, as well as other colleges and schools. A dedicated session on Gender Sensitisation was also held.

Faculty members from Avalon Academy Dumdum were recognized for their contributions to education.

Capt. Pankaj Kumar, a member of the Lions Club of Calcutta Megacity and associated with Tech Helm Solutions and Avalon Academy Dumdum, was also honoured for his contributions to the programme and educational initiatives.
