Eklakshya NGO celebrates Teacher’s Day focussing on NEP
Eklakshya Educational & Cultural Society, a Non-Government Organisation, celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm to honour teaching staff of Uttar Pradesh Govt. Composite School located at Sector 5 of Vaishali.
Ratnajyoti Dutta, a senior journalist of International repute, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by Raj Kumar Singh Bhatti, a renowned social worker of Vaishali Area, as the Special Guest.
Journalist Dutta highlighted the two years of implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). He said NEP has set the agenda for the next two decades for the education sector. “Teaching fraternity has an important role to prepare today’s young minds for tomorrow’s developed Bharat,” Dutta said.
Shadab Qumer, Head Teacher of the Govt. School, spoke on her experience in educating school children belonging to the economically weaker section of the society.
At the two-hour long programme, students of the school shared their original ideas on the burning issues related to Global Warming, Environment Pollution, Importance of Sports, Importance of Yoga and Solar Energy.
Ram Byas Rai, Secretary of Eklakshya NGO, deliberated on the various challenges, achievements, and future planned endeavours of the NGO. He also highlighted the effectiveness of the NEP in the national building endeavours.
Amit Goswami, President of Uttar Pradesh Prathmik Shikshak Sangh, Liyak Ahmed, Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Prathmik Shikshak Sangh, and social worker Rajeev Sharma attended the programme as Honoured Guests.
Jayanta Mukhopadhyay, Chairman of Eklakshya NGO, led the programme with able support from Rama Shankar Singh, Patron Member, Devendra Singh Thapa-Head NGO Development of Eklakshya, Suman Tiwari- Chairperson Delhi Pradesh to make the programme a success.
Mumbai-based Essar Foundation extended a helping hand towards the celebration.
The programme ended with some light refreshment. The entire programme was applauded by everyone and will always remain a beautiful memory in the hearts of one and all present on the occasion including over 700 students of the school.
