Rishab Shetty’s Film Kantara Earns More On Day 8 Than It Did On Opening Day

The Hindi version of the October 14 premiere of the Kannada film “Kantara,” which is breaking records every day, has made nearly Rs 2 crore, or roughly twice that film’s opening day take. The movie made roughly Rs 1.27 crore on its first day of release. The movie is anticipated to continue its consistent run at the box office during the forthcoming Diwali holidays.

According to reports, the Hindi version of the movie has taken in more than Rs 15 crore and is on track to reach Rs 20 crore. Despite competition from Ayshmann Khurrana’s Doctor G, which made about Rs 21 crore over the course of its opening weekend, and the Hollywood film Black Adam, which has made roughly Rs 11 crore over the course of two days, the Hindi belt managed to put in a commendable performance.

On October 15, the Kannada version of the movie joined the Rs 100 crore club. The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions’ releases helped the movie easily surpass the Rs 150 crore mark. It is currently edging closer to the Rs 200 core threshold, and it is anticipated to pass the new milestone during the Diwali vacation.

Kantara, a movie directed by Rishab Shetty and starring Kishore and Sathami Gowda, cost roughly Rs 15 core to produce. It is currently the third-highest-grossing Kannada film, only being surpassed by KGF movies.
