Kharagpur Division Secures Multiple Efficiency Shields for Outstanding Performance in 2025

Kolkata: Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway has been awarded multiple Efficiency Shields in recognition of its outstanding performance and efficiency across various operational and functional areas during the year 2025.
The awards were presented by Anil Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Eastern Railway during the Efficiency Shield Distribution Ceremony, 2026, held on 12 August 2026 at the SERSA Indoor Stadium, BNR, Garden Reach, Kolkata.
- Kharagpur Division received the following Efficiency Shields:
- Business and Passenger Services Shield
- Mechanical Engineering Shield
- Karmik Shield
- Safety Shield
- Terminal Management Shield
- S&T Works Efficiency Shield
- Best Coaching Depot Shield – awarded to Santragachi Coaching Depot of Kharagpur Division
- Best Workshop (Rolling Stock) Shield – awarded to Carriage Shop of Kharagpur Workshop
- Best Freight Depot Shield – Nimpura Freight Depot of Kharagpur Division, jointly with ADTP Freight Depot of Chakradharpur Division.
The recognition reflects the dedicated efforts of officers and staff of Kharagpur Division towards maintaining high standards of works and services.
