Ailing Woman Carried on Rope Stretcher After Broken Road Blocks Ambulance in Narayangarh

Belda,: An elderly woman from Sogudia village in Narayangarh’s Kunarpur Panchayat had to be carried nearly 2–3 km on a makeshift bamboo-and-rope stretcher after a badly damaged, mud-filled road prevented an ambulance from reaching her home. Aarti Sahu fell critically ill on Monday and required urgent medical attention. Family members and neighbours carried her through the muddy stretch to the main road, from where she was taken to a private nursing home in Temathani, Sabang. An image of the incident has gone viral, prompting renewed demands for road repairs. Narayangarh MLA Ramprasad Giri said damaged roads would be repaired soon.
