VFS Global to Expand into Citizen Services, Says CEO Zubin Karkaria

VFS Global is preparing to expand beyond visa processing and introduce a wider range of citizen services, including assistance related to licences and passports, CEO Zubin Karkaria said. The $1.2-billion company currently processes nearly 30 million visa applications annually across 168 countries, operating through a global network of application centres. Karkaria said the company’s experience in managing secure, high-volume government services could support its expansion into additional citizen-facing services. The move would mark a broader evolution of VFS Global’s role from visa application processing to facilitating multiple government and public-service interactions.
