India’s Visa-Free Access To Serbia Will End On January 1st

The Serbian government has decided to end visa-free travel for Indians in order to curb illegal immigration and adhere to the rules of the European visa policy. The statement claims that starting on January 1, 2023, holders of Indian passports would no longer be able to visit Serbia without a current visa.
Previously, holders of diplomatic and official Indian passports were permitted a 90-day visa-free stay, compared to a 30-day limit for ordinary passport holders.
Serbia began allowing visa-free immigration in September 2017. Due to Serbia’s visa-free entrance, Indians visiting the country are unable to visit other nations, including those that are neighbors with Serbia and other European nations.
Following the government of Serbia’s announcement, the Indian embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, published advice advising Indian nationals of the change in visa requirements.
The advice further stated that Indian nationals with valid visas for the Schengen, UK, or US, as well as legal resident status in these nations, may still enter Serbia for up to 90 days.
