Repolling will be conducted in 15 booths in West Bengal on May 2, following allegations of irregularities during the earlier phase of voting. The affected booths are located in South 24 Parganas district, with 11 falling under the Magrahat Paschim Assembly constituency and 4 under the Diamond Harbour Assembly constituency.

Election authorities have ordered the repoll to uphold the integrity of the democratic process and ensure free and fair voting. Security arrangements are expected to be tightened, with central forces likely to be deployed at the identified locations.

Officials stated that the decision was based on reports of disturbances and procedural lapses during polling. Voters in these booths will now get another opportunity to cast their ballots under stricter supervision.
