BOBBY CHAKRABORTY MOTIVATES TO BE THE TRUE TEACHERS OF THE FUTURE, AT SCHOOL OF EDUCATION- ADAMAS UNIVERSITY, THROUGH AAC 404
If the youth are our future, so are the teachers who are building them up and guiding them. Many a times the person in the capacity of the mentor, falters to live up to the expectations of the students. So it’s pertinent to create a perfect teacher first, who can be a true role model to the young brigade, not only through academic degrees, but through other values of life in him/her too.
Keeping the above context in mind, School of Education- Adamas University, organised the globally acclaimed, free of cost awareness program for the youth against addiction and harmful social trends , ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’, by Actor/Activist/Teacher of Method Acting, Bobby Chakraborty , on August 16th , as an orientation program for the students of the Bachelor of Education Department ,who will step into the shoes of a teacher in the years to come.
This was Bobby’s Anti Addiction Campaign no. 404 and his 3rd session in the University, after being selected as a member of the International Academic Advisory Board of Adamas University.
Bobby went ahead to thank Prof (Dr.) Samit Ray, Founder Chairman of Rice-Adamas Group and the Founder Chancellor of Adamas University, along with Dr. Shauli Mukherjee, the Director of School of Education and Dean of Students’ Affairs, for supporting his mission very strongly over the years.
The official photographer of this sparkling session was an equally sparkling student volunteer Kanchan Shaw, who impressed her BobbyDada with her sense of responsibility, hardwork and obedience.
The adda session saw Bobby effectively addressing the burning issues of smoking, alcoholism, rampant abusive language, smart phone addiction, obscenity online, gambling through online games, pornography, bullying etc.which are destroying the physical and mental health of a humanbeing to a point of no return. The auditorium saw a rousing response from the students or BobbyDada’s ‘soldiers’ , who resonated with him and promised to build a better society by giving Health-Career-Family the foremost priority. They also imbibed the mantra for their lifetime, ‘I am the King of my Mind’ with a lot of gusto.
The prestigious titles of the ‘1st soldier’ and ‘the trendsetter’ went to Sanjukta and Arifa respectively.
The surprise contest at the end had Soyel, Mouli and Urbi as the winners, who along with Kanchan were given special HCF(Health-Career-Family) tshirts, other prizes and Community Service Certificates by their beloved Bobby Dada.
Assistant Professor Samiya Roshni, who had coordinated with Bobby, for weeks, to organize this tremendously interactive session perfectly said that she found the adda session immensely necessary ,enjoyable, as well as fruitful and profusely thanked Bobby for his selfless initiative.
