Celebrating World Brotherhood Through Literary Legacy: A Tribute to Kazi Nazrul Islam

In a compelling fusion of culture, literature, and unity, the Jatiya Sahitya Prakashan Trust—a literary organization with I.T. exemption under Section 80G—presents the fourth episode of its “Mega International Literary & Cultural Festival 2024-2025”. Marking the post-Silver Jubilee of the Trust, this special edition pays tribute to the 125th Birth Anniversary of the legendary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, revered as the “Rebel Poet” of Bengal and a global icon of humanism and resistance.

The event is scheduled for 3rd August 2025 (Sunday), from 4 PM to 8 PM at the historic Ramkrishna Mancha of Ramkrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda Ancestral House & Cultural Center, Kolkata.

The inaugural function will be graced by eminent personalities. The event will be inaugurated by Poet Shobhondeb Chattopadhyay, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs & Agriculture, Government of West Bengal. The Chief Guest is Swami Mahapragnanandaji, Principal of Ramkrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Belur Math. Special dignitary Justice Shyamal Kumar Sen (Retd.), Former Governor of West Bengal, will also attend, alongside Chairperson Dr. Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay, Vice Chancellor of Sister Nivedita University.

The guest list boasts renowned writers, poets, and cultural figures from across India and abroad—including Padmasree Dr. Surjya Hazarika, Nagathihalli Ramesh, Avishek Rath, Dr. Kempa Honnaiah IAS, and multiple eminent guests from Bangladesh, Nepal, and the USA, showcasing a remarkable platform for world peace, humanity, and international literary brotherhood.

Organized by Jatiya Sahitya Prakashan Trust, in collaboration with RKMSVAH & CC, the event is a living testament to the Trust’s enduring vision of cultural dialogue, inclusivity, and peace through the power of the written word.
