Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the ₹19-crore Nausena Shaurya Vatika in Lucknow. Built over two acres, the museum showcases weapon systems and artefacts from the decommissioned INS Gomati, celebrating the valour and achievements of the Indian Navy.

Addressing the gathering, Rajnath Singh described the museum as a symbol of national pride and inspiration for future generations. He praised the Indian Navy’s operational readiness and highlighted its strategic role during Operation Sindoor, stating that the Navy’s strong presence in the Arabian Sea effectively constrained Pakistan’s naval movements.

The Defence Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to self-reliance in defence through initiatives such as Make-in-India, Defence Industrial Corridors, iDEX, and ADITI. He noted that India’s defence production has grown from ₹46,000 crore in 2014 to over ₹1.51 lakh crore, while defence exports have risen to nearly ₹40,000 crore.

The museum features naval guns, missile launchers, torpedo systems, radar equipment, ship masts, anchors, and a walkthrough display of the retired TU-142M maritime patrol aircraft, offering visitors a glimpse into India’s maritime defence heritage.
