Mithun Chakraborty, a member of the national executive committee, has been added to the core committee in an unexpected decision. The committee originally consisted of 12 members who were chosen by the state BJP leadership. This time, though, the central leadership was in charge of creating the new committee and boosting its membership. Similar, some of the newcomers are the Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Subhash Sarkar, and the Union Minister of State for Education. Roopa Ganguly, a former Rajya Sabha member, has been removed from the committee.

The other members of the core committee are the former president of the state unit Rahul Sinha, the union ministers Nisith Pramanik and John Barla, the members of the national executive committee Swapan Dasgupta and Anirban Ganguly, the former union minister Debashree Choudhary, the chief whip of the party in the state assembly Manoj Tigga, the state BJP general secretary (organization) Amitava Chakravorty, the party MPs

Amit Malviya, Asha Lakra, Mangal Pandey, Sunil Bansal, and others who are observers and in control of the party’s activities in West Bengal are also special invitee members of the committee.

According to sources, the central authorities were dissatisfied with the state unit’s performance in a number of areas. The state unit has been told by central officials to strengthen its organizational flaws and get ready for the state panchayat elections the following year.

The empowerment of the booth and outreach initiatives have received attention.

Additionally, the state unit has been directed to establish each booth committee by November 15.

Later in the day, the state leadership nominated Agnimitra Paul and Locket Chatterjee to lead the party’s Yuva and Mahila morchas, respectively
