Rozgar Mela 2026 Empowers 51,000 Youth with Government Jobs Across India

Kharagpur, West Bengal : The Government of India commitment to youth employment received a significant boost as the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela was successfully conducted on May 23, 2026, across 47 locations nationwide. In a virtual address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the new appointees and handed over Offer of Appointment letters to approximately 51,000 candidates selected for various Central Government departments and organizations.

At Kharagpur, the event was held at the Multi-Disciplinary Zonal Training Institute (MDZTI)/Supervisors’ Training Centre (STC), where 142 freshly recruited candidates received their appointment letters in a formal ceremony. The event was graced as Chief Guest by Shantanu Thakur, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Govt of India. Dilip Ghosh, Minister of Agriculture Marketing, Animal Resources Development, Panchayats & Rural Development, Govt of West Bengal also graced the event with his dignified presence.
Both ministers addressed the gathering, applauding the Central Government’s efforts in creating large-scale employment opportunities and motivating the new recruits to dedicate themselves to national development through their roles.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Kharagpur, Lalit Mohan Pandey, along with other senior divisional officers, was present and offered encouraging words. DRM Lalit Mohan Pandey emphasized the importance of public service and urged the appointees to uphold the values of integrity and dedication in their professional journeys.

The Rozgar Mela stands as a key milestone in the government’s ongoing mission to empower the youth, promote skill-based employment, and maintain transparent and efficient recruitment processes. This large-scale initiative continues to bridge the gap between aspiring job seekers and promising career opportunities within the government sector.
