The Kali Pujo Pandal In Kolkata With Its “Stranger Things” Theme Is Appealing
Kolkata has long attracted attention for its unconventional innovation in producing pujo pandals incredibly distinctive. This year, a picture of a Kali Puja pandal in South Kolkata’s Moore Avenue has become popular due to its creative design inspired by the popular sci-fi Netflix series Stranger Things. A terrible imaginary creature from the program called a “Demogorgon” was depicted in the pandal submission photo, which has amassed 925 likes and counting as of this writing.
After the photo was uploaded, the residents of Kolkata were enthralled by the unusual subject and became incredibly curious about where the pandal was. Debotri Ghosh, a Twitter user, noticed the attractive pandal and took a photo of it. Demogorgons have come to a nearby neighborhood because they are holding a Stranger Things-themed Kalipujo this year, she captioned the tweet. While others praised the same’s great design.
In South Kolkata, the Russa Shakti Sevak Sangh held the Kali Puja with a Stranger Things theme. The Sangh’s Secretary, Jeet Roy, told The Times of India that they strive to come up with a little distinct and eccentric pandal designs each year.
In India, Diwali is a very important event. While many people honor Goddess Laxmi on this day, residents from West Bengal and some areas of Assam also celebrate Kali Puja. The event, also known as “Bhoot Chaturdashi” in West Bengal, is primarily observed to honor the souls of the deceased and ward off evil spirits.
