Kolkata Police Retrieves Rs. 8.15 Billion From CA’s Residence

The Kolkata Police’s Detective Division has issued a lookout notice for a chartered accountant who has been evading capture since October 15 and 16, when police raided his home and found Rs. 8.15 billion.

On October 15, the Kolkata police’s Anti Bank Fraud division raided Sailesh Pandey’s home in Howrah, Kolkata.

Because Sailesh’s home was locked during the raid on October 15, the police were only able to seize Rs 2 crore from a car there. However, his two bank accounts, each holding Rs 20 crore, were frozen by the police.

In a targeted raid on Sailesh’s other home on October 16, the Kolkata Police seized jewelry and 5.95 crore rupees. Two laptops and one tablet were taken from the home by the police after the raid.

The jewelry was found in a car that belonged to Sailesh Pandy’s brother Arvind Panday.

After the Canara Bank lodged a complaint, the raids were carried out. The bank had been keeping an eye on them for a few days and had discovered numerous questionable transactions.

According to a police source, the accused created two Canara Bank accounts in the names of two different businesses and carried out significant online transactions as part of a criminal plot.
