AISCTRA Kharagpur Division Marks Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s 135th Birth Anniversary

KHARAGPUR : The All India SC & ST Railway Employees’ Association (AISCTRA), South Eastern Railway, Kharagpur Division, celebrated the 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar on April 14 at the AISCTRA KGP Division Office, South Side, Kharagpur.The programme was attended by several distinguished guests and railway officials.Kharagpur Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Lalit Mohan Pandey graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Debjit Das, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, attended the event as the Guest of Honour.Among the other prominent attendees were Divisional Personnel Officer Shreya Shandilya, Chief Medical Officer Sanjay Kumar, Zonal President of South Eastern Railway S.C. Basak, Zonal Secretary Hans Raj, Divisional President, Kharagpur, S. Iswar Rao, and Divisional Secretary, Kharagpur, Amit Kumar Mandal, along with all office-bearers of the Kharagpur Division.The event was marked by respect and admiration for the life, work and ideals of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, one of India’s greatest social reformers and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.A special cultural programme was also organised during the celebration. Small children performed dance, drama and acting presentations with great enthusiasm and fervour, adding colour and warmth to the occasion. Their performances were appreciated by all present.The celebration reflected the association’s commitment to honouring the legacy of Dr Ambedkar and spreading his message of equality, justice and social empowerment.
