The new thinking and approach with which India started working against TB disease since 2014 is truly unprecedented. These efforts have become a new model of the global fight against TB. In the last 9 years, India has worked together on many fronts in this fight against TB. There was a call to become Ni-kshay Mitra to join the campaign of ‘TB-free India’. After this campaign, about 10 lakh TB patients have been adopted by the common citizens of the country.

Under this campaign, seven-year-old Ni-kshay Mitra Nalini Singh of Una in Himachal Pradesh donated her pocket money for the PM TB-free India campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Nalini Singh for extending her support to the campaign.
